The Board of Directors chose Star-Spangled Girls as one of our five offered performances because of the superb quality, educational component, and nostalgic touch. that would expand our season series beyond “just entertainment.” Our expectations were definitely met by Touring Theatre’s professional performance.

Star-Spangled Girls is a review built from diaries, letters, and interviews by and about the women who served the United States during WWII. Five actresses portray WAC's, WAVE's, Army Nurses, and Red Cross volunteers as they share memories about enlistment, basic training, service at home and abroad, love, and segregation and sing excerpts from popular Wartime songs.
... What a delight! Five women represent the hardship, opportunities, problems, loneliness,
and help‐with‐the‐war effort common to all who served.
