LET YOUR CHILDREN TELL   |  45 minutes

Written and Directed by Brenda P. Schleunes
Commissioned by the North Carolina Council on the Holocaust

"History has many stories to tell. Some of the most important stories are those of the oppressed and their oppressors. Only one story throughout the history of humankind tells of an oppressor who attempted to wipe out an entire population of those it oppressed. This is that story."

Thus begins Let Your Children Tell, a theatre documentary about the Holocaust that follows the lives of young people from Austria, Hungary, and The Netherlands through their diary entries as they write of the way in which the edicts, laws, and horrific deeds of the Nazis of Germany’s Third Reich affected their lives. Four actors present this grim and heartbreaking dramatization.

A timely topic that explores racism, discrimination and prejudice as it existed in a modern society.
